510 crore. The auction price rose sharply as the blindfold opened. The bar was bought by two women for a dream price. They are members of the same family. The news is spreading not only in the village but also across the states. Even the Excise Department did not expect such a high price to be auctioned off. The auction was led by a woman named Kiran Kanwar.

The owner of the new bar, Kanwar, is expected to pay two per cent of the total cost to the authorities. The shop, which was auctioned for Rs 65 lakh last year, is now auctioned for Rs 510 crore. The estimated price was Rs 65 lakh but the auction started at Rs 70 lakh.
In Rajasthan, liquor stores are regularly auctioned off. Virtual bidding is currently underway for 7,665 bars in the state. Earlier, former chief minister Vasundhara Raje had terminated the system. With the resumption of the current Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, the auction houses have also woken up
