Bollywood movie Vicky Donor with the concept of sperm donation has seen good results there. If it is remade in Telugu, the scene is reversed. There were also criticisms that they could not make such a sensible subject connect with the Telugu audience. No one has gone into such a subject again. But young director Lakshman K. Krishna has written the story of ‘Swathimutyam’ with the idea of telling the point of sperm donation in an entertaining and emotional sense rather than being serious. Believing in the debut director and the story, production company Sitara Entertainments came forward and produced the film.
Bellamkonda Ganesh came in front of the audience with a different concept movie like ‘Swathimutyam’ instead of making an entry with a commercial format movie. Bellankonga Ganesh looked like the boy next door who was doing his own thing. He is good in terms of looks. In terms of acting, he has adapted well in the role. Bellamkonda Ganesh is impressive as a young man who convinces two families to marry the girl he likes, even though he bears the blame for a mistake he did not make, but as a good-hearted boy who does not know an abham shubh should not become an orphan. Hero elevation scenes are nowhere to be seen. According to the story, the character of the hero is visible to the audience.
Varsha Bollamma is good in the role of a girl who understands her future husband while wanting to be independent. She has done hundred percent justice to her role. Rao Ramesh and Pragathi appeared as the boy’s parents. Rao Ramesh’s performance as the know-it-all father, who shows love to his younger son, is superb. The way he portrays the character connects with the audience. Naresh and Surekha Vani appeared as the heroine’s parents. They appeared to be the girl’s strict nurturing parents. The role of Goparaju Ramana, who played the role of Naresh’s brother in the film, is crucial in the film. Director Laxman has shown his character as entertaining. Goparaju also created laughs in the second half with his acting. Vennela Kishore, who appeared as the hero’s friend, impressed with his comedy timing as always.
The first half of the movie is all about hero and heroine.. their two families. If the heroine does not agree to the marriage, the scenes where the hero convinces Ame. The first staff was not great but not boring either. That’s how it goes. Now comes the interval with a twist. In the second half, the characters, scenes and the comedy that follows will make the audience laugh. Director Laxman has never tried to take the sensitive topic of sperm donation seriously and over-emotionally. Also, it is better to take care that the duration of the movie is only two hours. In a twist in the first half ending, Shailaja, the character who gets the hero into trouble, is shown leaving Dubai. But she appears in the second half. The troubled hero does not seem to voice his opinion strongly until the climax.. I don’t understand why. Such moments come to the audience who has seen the movie. And the songs in Mahati Swara Sagar’s music are okay. Background music is good. Surya’s cinematography is good.
Finally: ‘Swathimutyam’ ..good family entertainer
