The Syrian Football Association announced that the Premier League for the current season will be played non-stop between the home and away stages, contrary to what was usual in previous seasons.
In a statement on Friday, the third of February, the Syrian Football Association set the date for the end of the first-leg stage, by playing matches in the 11th round of the league, provided that the return stage begins on the following Friday, on the tenth of the same month.
The decision of the Football Association in Syria came as a result of the long pauses that accompanied the first leg of the league, and reached nearly three months.
At the end of the tenth round last Friday, Al-Wathba, Al-Jaish and Al-Ahly teams shared the top of the general standings of the Syrian Premier League, with 16 points each, with a difference of two points from the Al-Fatwa team in fourth place, while Al-Majd Al-Damascene team bottomed the standings with two points.
