The clash between the Syrian military and the terrorist group Jabhat al-Nusra (banned in the Russian Federation) took place in the province of Latakia. This was announced on Saturday, February 4, by the AlHadath TV channel.
According to the latest information, 11 people died during the confrontation, at least six of them were members of a criminal organization.
Terrorists attacked soldiers in the Tellet el-Burkan area in the north of the province, taking advantage of bad weather conditions.
Earlier, on January 30, three Syrian soldiers were injured as a result of artillery fire from terrorists in the Syrian province of Latakia.
The deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria (CPVS), Major General Oleg Yegorov, stressed that the attack was carried out from the Kalaz-Takhtani region.
On January 22, Yegorov reported that two Syrian soldiers were injured in an attack by terrorists using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
Prior to this, on January 6, four Syrian soldiers were injured in an attack by terrorists using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the Idlib de-escalation zone. During the day, five attacks from the Jabhat al-Nusra group (banned in the Russian Federation) were recorded in this zone.
Back in December, three Syrian soldiers were killed and four more were injured as a result of artillery and mortar shelling by terrorists in the province of Idlib. At the same time, no violations of the ceasefire regime were recorded by the Kurdish formations in the north-east of Syria.
