New Delhi: Yesterday, the Delhi Police went to Rahul Gandhi’s house to collect details about the fact that ‘women are being sexually assaulted’.
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi recently conducted ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. Rahul started the pilgrimage in Kanyakumari and ended in Kashmir. While speaking in nagar, he said, “Women are still subjected to sexual violence in the country”. The Delhi Police had registered a case and sent a notice to Rahul Gandhi to explain about this controversial speech. However, he did not give an explanation.
Subsequently, the police led by Special Commissioner of Police, Delhi Law and Order Division, Sagar Preet Hooda, went to Rahul’s house yesterday. Police went to Rahul Gandhi’s house number 12 in Tughlaq Lane area of Delhi. “Rahul said that women are still subjected to sexual violence in the country. The police informed that only if he gives the relevant details to the police department, the victims can be identified and protected.
Commissioner Sagar Preet said: We met Rahul Gandhi and asked him the details of what he said. He has also said that he will provide the necessary details related to what was discussed during the pilgrimage. He asked for some time. Also, Rahul Gandhi’s office received our notice in this regard. We will take the next steps immediately after getting the details from Rahul Gandhi.
