New Delhi: UP The Kashiviswanath Temple Trust in Varanasi has 5 administrators namely the Chairman and 4 executive committee members. For the first time, a Tamil named K. Venkatramana Kanapadi has been appointed to this post for a period of three years.
Regarding his appointment, Venkatramana Kanapadis told the ‘Hindu Tamil Vektik’ newspaper that: Our job is to provide facilities to those who come to visit Kashi Viswanadha and carry out development work. When the Kashi Tamil Sangam program was held, I was nominated by U.P. Thanks Chief Minister Yogi and Prime Minister Modi.
I would like to appoint well-versed Tamil guides so that the visitors to the temple do not have the problem of not knowing the Hindi language. One of the 2 eyes of Lord Shiva is the Vedas and the other is the Sangeet. It was from his playing that the Sangeet swaram was born. The Sangeet formed from this is played on special days like Shivratri in the performances of artists in northern states.
Better than this, I want the music of artists from Tamil Nadu to play before Lord Shiva in this temple. It is my wish to have the performances of musicians Ilayaraja, Drummer Sivamani, Mandolin Rajesh etc. here. I will give importance to Tamils with my voice that will be heard for everyone in Vishwanath Temple. He said this.
It is noteworthy that he belongs to the fifth generation of Tamil Brahmins living in Anumarpadithura of Varanasi.
