Untimely death of Tarakaratna
Coming from a Nandamuri family, Tarakaratna, who could not do well in films, decided to try his luck in politics. As part of this, he joined the Telugu Desam Party founded by his grandfather Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. However, Tarakaratna, who thought to be in the crowd from now on in view of the upcoming assembly elections, participated in the Yugalam padayatra organized by his brother-in-law and TDP national spokesperson Nara Lokesh. Tarakaratna suffered a massive heart attack while walking with the activists near Kuppam on the day the march began.
Tarakaratna, who collapsed during the hike, was taken to a private hospital in Kuppam. After first aid there, he was shifted to PES Medical College Hospital in Kuppam. The doctors felt that Tarakaratna’s condition was extremely critical and shifted him from there to Narayana Hrudayalaya in Bangalore. He was treated there under the guidance of foreign doctors. Tarakaratna, who was treated there for 23 days, could not recover. He breathed his last at Narayana Hrudayalaya on February 18. From there, he was brought to Hyderabad and Tarakaratna’s last rites were performed on February 21.
