Raghurama mentioned some points in the petition. He alleged that when he filed a petition to cancel the Chief Minister’s bail, he became angry with him. In 2021, some people claiming to be the police came into his house and forcibly detained him. He recalled that five masked men came into the room where he was in custody and tied his legs with a rope and beat him. He recalled that he underwent medical tests under the direction of the Medical Board at the Guntur Government Hospital on the orders of the High Court.
But Raghurama said that the report of the medical board was different from the facts. The petition mentioned that after a medical examination was conducted at the military hospital in Secunderabad on the orders of the Supreme Court, there was a report of severe injuries on his legs. He claimed that the police and the administrative department conspired and tried to hide the truth and threatened his life. It is interesting that this petition is coming up for hearing today.
Moreover, he recently wrote a letter to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. He demanded immediate action against the police who tortured him in CID custody. He mentioned that he was harassed and tortured. Also, he was taken to the Secunderabad Military Hospital on the orders of the Supreme Court and medical tests were conducted there.
Raghurama said that he has complained to the House Rights Committee but no action has been taken so far. He said that with the powers of the committee, those five should be summoned immediately and the investigation should be conducted. If this investigation is delayed further, the respect of the Parliament will be reduced. But it seems that the letter written by MP Raghurama complaining against the CID officials has been sent to the Union Home Department for action. It is known that AP CID arrested Raghurama in 2021.
