Tata launches 14 electric vehicles … view photos

New Delhi | Tata Motors on Wednesday launched the Harrier EV and Sierra EV in its personal vehicle segment and showcased the Altrozo CNG as well as the Curve coupe on the first day of the Auto Expo 2023. Tata Motors also unveiled the Magic EV, Prime E28, Ultra E.9 as well as a Hydrogen Fuel Cell Truck in its commercial vehicle segment.

Tata Motors has the biggest stall at the expo this year with 14 electric vehicles launched in the passenger and commercial vehicle segments.

Tata Sons executive chairman and Tata Motors chairman N. Chandrasekaran said, “We are leading sustainability, energy transition and digitalisation-led transformation in each of our businesses. Tata Motors is committed to developing electric vehicles, cutting-edge technologies, advanced design engineering and best-in-class technology, keeping in mind the goal of zero carbon emissions. is accelerating the adoption of -class services.”

Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. said, “We have been investing in world-class power trains to deliver lower emissions and better results. Today, we are unveiling design innovations in CNG that will disrupt the established norms and present modern body-styling with curves and concept in its ICE avatar for the aspiring.”

He added, “We are leading this mission based on our three-gen EV architecture strategy with the objective of achieving net zero emissions by 2040. Today, we have launched Avinya, Harrier EV and Gen 2 and Gen 3 architecture products with us. The showstopper-Sierra EV will make EVs more aspirational. The contribution of EVs in our portfolio is expected to increase to 25 per cent in 5 years and reach 50 per cent by 2030.”(IANS)
