Following the states of Meghalaya and Assam, the Nagaland government has also reduced taxes on petrol and diesel. The Nagaland government has announced that the tax cut will come into effect from midnight yesterday.
Oil companies have continued to raise petrol and diesel prices due to rising international crude oil prices. After 12 consecutive days, petrol prices crossed Rs 100 per liter in Sri Ganga, Rajasthan and Anuppur in Madhya Pradesh. In various states, petrol price has gone up by more than Rs 92 per liter. Diesel prices have also gone up by more than Rs 86 per liter.
