Sports Desk.The Indian team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has been announced. ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar announced the names of the players included in the press conference at the historic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. However, as expected, not much change has been made in the team.
Apart from Rohit Sharma, senior batsman Virat Kohli and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah are included in the team. The command of the team will be in the hands of Rohit Sharma while Shubman Gill has been given a big responsibility. Shubman Gill has been made the vice-captain for the Champions Trophy. However, Mohammad Siraj has not been given a place in the team. Yashasvi Jaiswal has become a part of the ODI team for the first time.

Fast bowler Mohammed Shami has also returned to the ODI team after 14 months. Spinner Kuldeep Yadav has also recovered from injury and returned to the team. The Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to start from February 19. However, the Indian team will start its campaign from 20th February. In the tournament (Champions Trophy), there will be a competition for the title between 8 teams. Champions Trophy is returning after 8 years. Earlier this tournament was played in 2017.
