Sports Desk. Indian cricket team coach Gautam Gambhir got a big relief from the Delhi High Court on Monday. Delhi High Court has stayed the decision of the Sessions Court in which it had ordered reopening of the fraud case against Gambhir.
Gambhir (Gautam Gambhir) had approached the High Court against this decision. In which he got relief. Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri, while staying the case, said that the detailed order in this case will be issued soon. He said, “I will give the order. Till then there will be a stay on the decision against the petitioner which has been brought for debate. I will place the detailed order later.”
The case involves three parties namely Rudra Bilgewell Realty, HR Infracity and UM Architects and Contractors who had promoted the Serra Bella 2011 housing project. Apart from being the additional director of Rudra Company, Gambhir was also the brand ambassador of this project. When home buyers did not see any progress in the project and when they came to know that a lawsuit was going on regarding it, they filed a case of fraud.
Based on the FIR, the trial court found three people and two companies accused in the year 2020. Rest of the people were acquitted of charges including Gambhir’s name. Three people had challenged this order of the trial court in the sessions court. On October 29, the Sessions Court found that the trial court’s order acquitting Gambhir (Gautam Gambhir) was lacking in this case, so it set aside the trial court’s order and gave a new verdict accusing Gambhir.
