The Tenaya team was crowned champion of the first stage of the eight-stage competition within the Emirates International Free Jumping Championship competitions inside the “wind tunnel”, which was held on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, while the indoor group formation competitions for free jumping consisting of 16 jumpers are scheduled to conclude today.
The results of the “Eight” competition, the indoor team formation for free jumping consisting of 8 jumpers, showed a clear superiority for the Tenaya team, which achieved the full score in three of the 10 rounds it competed in the tournament alone in the lead with 224 points, followed in second place by the Kuzbass Arena team with 182 points. While the Nomads team came in third place with 157 points, then Aerosina came in fourth place with 137 points.
Vice President of the Emirates Air Sports Federation, Yousef Al Hammadi, confirmed that the tournament witnessed unprecedented technical and promotional successes and gains due to the wonderful infrastructure that the country possesses, represented by the largest wind tunnel in the world.
Al Hammadi said in press statements that the championship included competitions in the jumping race for a group of categories represented in the individual pursuit, the relay race, and the final race.
