Ambala. The Haryana government has suspended mobile internet, SMS and internet services in Ambala district from December 14-17 to prevent spread of misinformation and maintain possible law and order situation following the march to Delhi by farmers organizations. Dongle services have been ordered to be temporarily suspended.
From December 14, 6:00 am to December 17, 11:59 pm, these restrictions will be applicable on certain villages including Dangdehri, Lohgarh and Saddopur. Haryana authorities said in an official order that in view of the call for march to Delhi by some farmers organizations, there is a possibility of tension, damage to public and private property and disturbance of public peace and harmony in the area of district Ambala.
Ambala SP said that farmers should proceed after taking permission. He referred to the Supreme Court. The SP said that if permission is granted, the police will leave on their own. He asked the farmers to follow the law. Nine farmers have been seriously injured while trying to move forward by breaking the police barricades at Shambhu border. Police is using water cannon up to 200 meters. Tear gas shells and other types of shells are being used.
Haryana administration is continuously firing water cannons and firing tear gas shells at the farmers. Still the farmers are adamant about marching to Delhi. Shells were also fired by the Haryana administration through drones due to which a farmer has just been seriously injured.
