According to government sources, Telangana budget is likely to be Rs.3 lakh crore. As it is an election year, people and political parties feel that there is an opportunity to allocate huge funds for various welfare schemes to impress the voters. It seems that there is a possibility of huge allocations for the Dalit Bandhu Scheme, which is considered ambitious by the BRS government. Also, it seems that there will be huge allocation of funds for the rest of the welfare schemes.
TRS included in the manifesto of the last election that they will give Rs.3016 allowance to the unemployed. But after four years of KCR’s second term rule and assembly elections are coming in a few months, the government has not yet implemented the guarantee of unemployment benefits. Criticisms are being heard from the opposition and opposition parties that KCR promised to provide unemployment benefits in the last election but did not implement it and cheated the unemployed.
Moreover, the opposition is criticizing the government saying that the problem of unemployment in the state is huge. Votes of youth are crucial to come to power in elections. Will the government fulfill that promise by allocating funds for unemployment benefits in the budget? Or? It became interesting. Also, in the last election, TRS promised to give Rs. 3 lakh to build a house for those who have their own land. But so far that promise has not been implemented. Although KCR has made several announcements in the past, no funds have been allocated for the scheme so far.
It seems that there is a possibility of allocating funds for that scheme in the budget to be presented on Monday. It is also said that there will be huge allocations for the medical sector. Finance Minister Harish Rao will present the budget in the Assembly tomorrow at 11.30 am. Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy will present the budget in the Legislative Council. After the presentation of the budget, there will be a discussion on the allocations. Meetings are likely to be held till 15th of this year.
