Education Department has decided to provide 120 books to each library. It seems that the education department will buy these books from the National Book Trust. After the purchase, it will be moved to the libraries to be established in all the schools. After setting up libraries in all government schools, the government will provide 6 lakh books. Government Testbook Press will print and provide books to government schools.
The Education Department says that all libraries will make books available in all libraries to improve reading skills among students. Government has launched a program called ‘Tholimottu’ to improve reading skills among students. As part of that programme, it was thought that libraries would be useful in all government schools. Various types of books are available in libraries. Daily library period of 15 minutes will also be newly introduced. Steps will be taken to make students read other books along with textbooks.
Due to Corona, the government has started classes through online, digital and television. The government started physical classes again after the effect of Corona subsided. However, the education department has found that the reading and writing skills of many students have decreased due to online classes. Government is taking steps to improve these skills among students. As part of that, the government has decided to set up libraries in all government schools. Libraries will be established in all government schools soon.
The education department officials feel that the establishment of libraries will benefit the students a lot and the passion for books will increase among the students. Officials say that the reading skills of the students will improve further. It is said that by reading other books along with text books, students will know everything.
