The government on Friday announced that the new Telangana Secretariat will be inaugurated on April 30. The country’s largest Ambedkar statue will be unveiled on April 14 on Ambedkar Jayanti in the Secretariat premises. Also, KCR will unveil the Martyrs Stupa on June 2. The inauguration of the new secretariat has been getting postponed since time immemorial. Last month, the secretariat was expected to be opened on the occasion of CM KCR’s birthday. But suddenly the MLC election code came into force and the EC did not give permission, so the decision was taken to postpone the opening ceremony of the secretariat.
Now it has been decided to inaugurate the new secretariat on April 30. The government has already issued orders naming the new secretariat after Ambedkar. KCR inspected the works of the new secretariat on Friday. Many instructions were given to the authorities on this occasion. The government announced the date for the inauguration shortly after inspecting the KCR Secretariat.
