Chennai: Ravindra Jadeja, one of the all-rounders of the Indian cricket team, has taken 8 wickets in the ongoing Ranji Trophy series against Tamil Nadu. After a long time in the cricket field, he announced his arrival to the cricket world.
Due to injury, he missed some important series including last year’s T20 World Cup series. He has now recovered from the injury and has been included in the Indian squad for the Test series against Australia. Still he had to prove his fitness.
So he played for the first time in Ranji after 2018 against Tamil Nadu in the match which started on 24th at Chennai Chepakkam Stadium. He led the Saurashtra team. In the second innings of this match, Jadeja scored 53 runs in 17.1 overs and took 7 wickets. He took 1 wicket in the first innings.
Currently Saurashtra team is chasing the target of victory if they score 266 runs. Jadeja’s impressive performance will help him a lot in the Test series against Australia.
