This condition applies to all domestic and international airlines and transit passengers entering the country from these four countries. The ban will take effect on December 25 from 7.30 am. The decision comes after Omid reported a new variant of Kovid.
Passengers from four countries were barred from entering the country 14 days before arriving. Steps are being taken to repatriate travelers from the UAE to these countries.
UAE citizens, first degree relatives, diplomatic missions, official representatives between the UAE and the three countries, and holders of Golden Residence are all excluded from these requirements. Those in this category must submit a Covid Negative Certificate within 48 hours of departure, a Rapid PCR Test Certificate taken within 6 hours of arrival at the airport, and a PCR check taken at the airport upon arrival in the UAE.
UAE nationals, first-degree relatives, delegates and holders of Golden Visa must comply with the 10-day quarantine and undergo PCR testing on the 9th day upon arrival in the country. The GCAA said travelers from other four countries must stay in the next country until they are allowed to enter the UAE.

UAE nationals were barred from traveling to four African countries for purposes other than the country’s emergency medical cases, official representatives and scholarships. In addition, direct flights from Uganda and Ghana must comply with the new travel regulations. Kovid Negative Certificate within 48 hours of departure and Rapid PCR test result within six hours of arrival at the airport.
