Ten million euros in damage during New Year’s Eve, the amount is likely to increase

A ban on flares and firecrackers did not lead to less firework damage last year. According to the Dutch Association of Insurers, an estimated 10 million euros has been destroyed. That amount is considerably lower than the last turn of the year before the corona crisis: then approximately 16 million euros had to be paid out. Last year it was 9 million euros.
