Sports Desk. The world’s greatest tennis player Novak Djokovic has made a shocking revelation, which has created a stir in the sports world. Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic said that he was given poison in his food. Djokovic, 37, revealed he was fed ‘poisoned’ food during the 2022 Australian Open visa dispute, before he was deported on the eve of the first major of the season.
The 24-time major winner (Novak Djokovic) had his visa canceled ahead of the 2022 Australian Open due to Australia’s COVID-19 entry rules and his unvaccinated status. He was initially granted a visa waiver but it was later revoked by the Australian Border Force, resulting in him being detained with refugees in a Melbourne hotel.
Novak Djokovic said, “I realized that in that hotel in Melbourne I was fed something which was mixed with poison. When I came back to Serbia I realized something. I never told anyone publicly… I had very high levels of heavy metals in my body. “The levels of lead and mercury in my body were very high.”
He further said that despite the 2022 controversy, he has no complaints against the Australian people. However, 12 months later, he returned to Melbourne to win the title. He (Novak Djokovic) said, “Many of the Australians I met in Australia or other countries in the world over the last few years came up to me and apologized for the way they treated me, because At that time he was feeling ashamed of his government.”
