New Delhi . Tesla on Thursday issued a public comment on a media report that claimed the company’s legal head David Searle has left the electric car maker. Elon Musk-run Tesla said on Twitter that the news was “false”.
“This Bloomberg article is incorrect. David Searle has not left Tesla,” the electric carmaker said in a tweet.
The company has been known to not respond to media reports or issue any press statements, as the answers are directly provided by Musk himself via Twitter.
According to the report, Searle stepped down as Tesla’s legal chief less than a month ago.
“The company’s deputy general counsel Dina Eskin has now taken over the role,” the report quoted sources as saying.
The report also claimed that Searle oversaw an investigation into the suspicious order of ‘special glasses’ that led to the dismissal of several employees of the company.
Tesla last month launched an investigation into Omed Afshar, the official overseeing the manufacturing and production of the Giga Texans. The investigation was specifically about buying construction materials.
Reports said the investigation was led by Searle.
Tesla recently laid off 229 employees from its Autopilot team and closed one of its offices in the US.
