San Francisco. Elon Musk-run Tesla has received a patent for a new interior ‘personalization system’, potentially boosting the accessibility and comfort of its vehicles to unprecedented levels.
As Teslarati reports, a recently filed patent application at the US Patent Office reveals that the company is developing an advanced ‘personalization system’ that could surpass existing technologies in the automotive industry.
The new ‘personalisation system’ will use the car’s interior camera system to identify occupants, estimate their size and personalize settings for comfort and ease of use.
As per the report, it can adjust a number of settings including front seat and control positioning based on the height of the front seat occupants, direction of air conditioning vents based on where and how many people are seated across the cabin which audio settings and ensure use.
Beyond just making occupants more comfortable, the improved personalization system will also improve Tesla’s existing safety system.
The vehicle can detect disabled persons and either call emergency services or perhaps take the person to a hospital.
Additionally, these devices can be employed after a car collision to ensure that vehicle passengers do not get hurt, the report said.
Meanwhile, Tesla has delivered a record 4,22,875 electric vehicles in the first quarter of 2023, beating Wall Street estimates.
In the first quarter, the electric carmaker produced over 4,40,000 vehicles.
