Hong Kong. Tesla, run by Elon Musk, has launched a new Model Y electric car in China with an updated design and performance changes at a starting price of about 263,900 yuan ($37,000).
The new car follows the revised “Highland” Model 3 in China, which also made a splash in Europe early last month.
According to Tesla’s Chinese website, the Model Y now has a 0-100 km/h time of 5.9 seconds.
As reported by The Verge, the EV features new wheels and an LED lighting strip in the dash like the refreshed Model 3.
Tesla is also offering a long-range version for 299,900 yuan (about $42,000) and a high-performance version for 349,900 yuan (about $49,000).
The company has not yet announced the updated Model Y in the US.

On Tesla’s official website, the Model S Standard Range is now priced at $78,490 before options. The Model S SR offers a range of 320 miles per charge and a 3.7-second, 0-60 mph time. The vehicle also has a top speed of 149 mph.

Users can get a fully electric SUV with a range of 269 miles per charge and acceleration from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds.
