Chennai: According to the Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act, all schools are required to pass the Eligibility Test (TET) to join the teaching profession. This TET exam consists of 2 papers. Candidates who clear 1st paper can work as intermediate teacher and those who clear 2nd paper can work as graduate teacher. TET exam is conducted by Teachers Examination Board (TRB) in Tamil Nadu.
Accordingly, the TET first paper exam for the year 2022 was held from October 16 to 19. 1 lakh 53,023 people wrote this exam. Its results were declared on 7th December. Out of which only 21,543 candidates (14%) passed. Subsequently, 4 lakh 1,886 candidates applied for TET 2nd paper examination. TRP had already announced that the examination for them will be held from January 31 to February 12.
In this case, the TRP has now changed the exam date and released a new schedule. Accordingly, the TET 2nd paper examination is going to be held from February 3rd to 14th through computer mode. Apart from this, the first phase hall tickets for the candidates have also been released now.
Only the district where the examination center is located will be included in the first phase hall ticket. The full details of the examination center will be mentioned in the 2nd phase hall ticket issued 3 days before the next examination. Meanwhile, it is to be noted that the applications of 30 graduates, including 10, have been rejected due to malpractice in the previous examinations among those who applied for the TET 2nd paper examination.
