Narasapuram MP Raghuramakrishna Raju said that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s statement that he is distributing property worth lakhs of rupees to poor people is ridiculous. He said that what he is giving to the poor people is Gundu Sunna. The place he says he is giving to the poor in Amaravati does not belong to the state government. He said that it is ironic to mention that the lands given by poor farmers for the construction of the capital will be distributed to the poor people contrary to the Supreme Court’s verdict. He said that there is no reference to the central government giving 1,80,000 under the Prime Minister’s Awas Yojana for the house plots that are said to be given to the poor in Amaravati. He said that if the Center allocates funds for the construction of houses in places where there is no title deed, the funds are likely to be misused.

He said that there are many legal issues in the allotment of house plots.. He has already written a long letter to the Centre. He said that why the center gave ten thousand crores of rupees will be known in the future. He said that Jagan Mohan Reddy’s statement that he is giving land worth 5 to 10 lakhs to every poor person is ridiculous. He asked whether people think that they are innocent if they see Jagan stating that he will deposit 1,80,000 rupees in the account, that he will give a loan of 35 thousand rupees through banks with interest, and that he will provide free sand to the poor who are building houses in Amaravati.

He questioned whether it was true that in the past, the beneficiaries of the house plots in the state were threatened that they would build a house, otherwise the house plot would be cancelled. He said, “Is it not true that the Supreme Court has clearly stated in its judgment that house plots should be allocated in Amaravati subject to the final judgment of the High Court?” Did it not be mentioned that no one can claim the rights on the house plots in Amaravati.. If the court verdict is against the government, then all the public money is wasted, he asked. He said that the economy of the state is already in a shambles. With this decision, there is a danger of the economy of the state getting into trouble.

He said that it is shameful to announce that the sand, which is the property of all the people of the state, will be given free. He said that it is ironic that Jagan mentioned that they would supply construction materials for the construction of houses in Amaravati. He said that it was wrong not to invite Tatikonda MLA Sridevi to the meeting held in Amaravati. Earlier, when the Prime Minister attended Narasapuram constituency, she was prevented from inviting him to that meeting. He said that Jagan Mohan Reddy was afraid of him…that’s why he was prevented from coming. According to the protocol, an MLA should be invited to a government function, said the District Collector. A Dalit public representative should be invited to a government event. He said that this is the respect given to Dalits.

He said that no one is against giving house plots to the poor in Amaravati. But the people of the state will not tolerate if it is not only given in the designated area, but also allotted house plots in other zones and damage the new cities of Amaravati. He said that justice may be delayed in the courts.. Assembly elections may be held before this.. He said that this government may change. He said that efforts can be made to build houses in Amaravati to defeat Lokesh in Mangalagiri. He asked what will be the situation of his party if the construction of houses is taken up in only Amaravati area, if it loses in the remaining 174 assembly constituencies. He said that Jagan should refrain from valuing the land. He said that it is wrong that he has given so many thousands of land in such a way as to undermine the faith of the farmers.
