Given this forecast, the AEMET has activated the orange alert from 12:00 to 00:00 throughout the Community of Madrid, except in the mountains, although very strong gusts are also expected in high areas.
However, the yellow warning remains in place throughout the early hours of the morning until 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, when the storms are expected to be stronger.
For this reason, 112 recommends that Madrid drivers return to Madrid early to avoid storms catching them driving on the roads.
Traffic launched a special device at three in the afternoon on Thursday that will end at midnight on Sunday to mark the return of summer, in which 6.8 million trips will take place and which is expected to be staggered.
