But when the investigation started, the case was withdrawn. The court sentenced the woman to prison and a fine of 1000 dirhams when it was found that what the woman said was a lie. The order also provides for deportation after serving the sentence. But the woman approached the appellate court saying that she wanted relief from the punishment. He was then spared jail time and deportation. The punishment was reduced by only paying the fine.
