Zamalek Club announced the details of the injury of the first football team’s trio, Mahmoud Abdel Razek Shikabala, Nasser Maher and Mohamed El Sayed, during the match between Al-Masry Al-Port Said, which was held yesterday evening, Saturday, and ended with the White Team losing 0-1 in the third stage of the Egyptian Premier League Championship.
The team doctor, Mohamed Osama, said in statements to his club’s media center on Sunday that x-rays confirmed that Shikabala suffered a bruise in the knee and a tear in the posterior muscle of the first degree.
He added: “Nasser Maher suffers from a first-degree posterior muscle strain and mild muscle fatigue.”
He explained: “The medical examinations conducted by Mohamed Al-Sayed confirmed that he suffered a tear in the origin of the anterior muscle, which is the injury he suffered with the youth team in the Libya match in the qualifiers for the African Nations Youth Championship under 20 years.”
Zamalek will lose the trio’s efforts against the Black Bulls of Mozambique, next Wednesday, in the opening round of the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup (African Confederation).
