The Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club announced the opening of registration to participate in the “Abu Al Abyad” 60-foot sailboat race, which will be held next Saturday, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region.
The organizing committee said, in a press statement, that the race is the second round for this category of sailboats within the heritage racing program organized by the club this season, as heritage races are of particular importance as they support efforts to preserve the authentic Emirati maritime heritage.
She explained that registration is done through the club’s website, in light of the conditions and regulations for participation in accordance with the amendments made to the races in this category since last season, and its technical, logistical and organizational details, which were applied in a number of races during the recent period, and was welcomed and praised by the owners, pilots and sailors. For its part, the Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club confirmed that valuable prizes were allocated to the winners of the race.
