The Arab Chess Federation, headed by Sheikh Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Mualla, confirmed the rejection of the decision issued by the Federation of Arab Sports Federations to dissolve the Arab Federation. The statement emphasized that the chairman and members of the Executive Committee of the Arab Federation were elected by the General Assembly of the Arab Federation, and the Federation of Arab Sports Federations has no right to form a temporary committee instead.

He emphasized the rejection of Resolution No. 30 of 2023 issued by the Federation of Arab Sports Federations, stressing that the text of Article 64 of the statute of the Arab Federation consists of three paragraphs to suspend membership, and none of them apply to the position of the current Executive Committee. Accordingly, this decision was rejected for violating the legal rules. applicable. He stressed that the authority of the Arab Federation is not only the Federation of Arab Sports Federations, but also the International Federation and the General Assembly, which has the right to form temporary committees and take appropriate decisions. The statement noted that the Arab Union will continue its activities and hold its meetings in accordance with the decisions of the electoral general assembly that took place on February 14.
