The state of health of people who suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning in a cafe has been stabilized, their lives are out of danger. A message about this appeared in the Telegram of the head of Derbent Rustambek Pirmagomedov on September 20.
“At the moment, 12 adults and four teenagers have been admitted to the Central City Hospital. Almost all of them are employees of the institution. According to the medical facility, it was possible to stabilize the condition of three patients who were initially admitted in serious condition. All those admitted are under the supervision of doctors, nothing threatens their lives, ”says the repost of the Derbent News news channel, which Pirmagomedov posted on his page.
The same report states that emergency response services, including specialists from the gas service, were sent to the Yakitoriya cafe. The deputy head of the city, Agamirza Agamirzoev, also arrived at the scene to clarify the circumstances of the incident and coordinate the actions of the operational services.
Earlier, on the night of Tuesday, September 20, the head physician of the Central City Hospital of Derbent, Devletkhan Mirzakhanov, said that 12 people were poisoned by carbon monoxide. Three were in serious condition, were in intensive care.
Later, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan added that at 22:10 the police of Derbent received a message about the mass poisoning of visitors with carbon monoxide in one of the catering establishments. According to preliminary information, the cause of the poisoning could be a malfunction of one of the cooking units.
