The authorities of the Zaporozhye region are preparing the infrastructure for organizing the procedure for issuing Russian passports to residents. This was announced on Wednesday, May 25, by the regional administration in the Telegram channel.
“The military-civilian administration of the Zaporozhye region reports that infrastructure and employees are being prepared to organize the issuance of Russian passports to residents of the Zaporozhye region,” the report says.
On May 6, Kirill Stremousov, chairman of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson region, announced that residents of the region liberated by the Russian Armed Forces would receive the right to Russian citizenship.
The Russian armed forces took full control of the territory of the Kherson region in mid-March. On April 12, the ceremony of lighting the Eternal Flame was held in Kherson, and Russian flags were hoisted on the buildings of the city.
