The promotional gift sector (called in PTO jargon, advertising through the object) makes a good balance of the 2023 financial year, having exceeded a business volume of more than 2.5 billion euros, according to Aimfap, the Association of importers, wholesalers and manufacturers of promotional items, and Fyvar, the Association of manufacturers and sellers of advertising and promotional items. Hence the good health of the international promotional gift show Promogift, in which both organizations collaborate and is organized by IFEMA Madrid and is now entering its sixteenth edition.
A meeting point for 162 exhibitors, 12% more than in the last edition, who will meet in the capital from January 16 to 18 in pavilion 14 of the venue. Manufacturers, distributors and importers of promotional and advertising gifts and machinery from eight countries will meet with professionals in the sector, claimants, advertising agencies, sign makers, graphic arts and souvenir companies.
The business volume in Spain is in line with the growth experienced by promotional gift manufacturers, importers and wholesalers, close to 29%, according to Aimfap, which would place it at levels similar to those before the pandemic. That is the framework of this new edition of Promogift, which in the words of the president of the association, Emilio Estellés-Zanón, “will be a reflection of all this dynamism in what will probably be the best fair in the history of the promotional gift and advertising through the object. At Aimfap we are working to make it the event where all professionals in the sector meet.”
The Fyvar association expresses itself in similar terms, for whom 2023 is the year of definitive recovery, although, with the nuance that political ups and downs have been able to partially condition the demand for products, as well as the unusually benign climate of This fall has delayed typical Christmas shopping. Its president, Gabriel Moesse, predicts a successful celebration of the reference fair for the promotional gift sector, especially beneficial for those companies that have been able to better update their commercial procedures and market presence.
At Promogift, visitors will be able to access the Live Connect digital platform, which allows participating companies and professionals in the sector to be interconnected beyond the in-person celebration of the Fair. With this tool, exhibiting companies have the opportunity to achieve even greater visibility of their new products, as well as analyze the profiles of participating companies and schedule appointments with their clients before the event. For their part, professionals can also schedule their visit to the Fair in advance, thus achieving better performance, among other advantages.
