In December 2023, it is planned to commission a bridge across the Kuta River in Ust-Kut, Irkutsk Region. Now there is a reconstruction. Work began on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, which he gave during a personal reception of citizens in 2018.
The progress of the repair was inspected by the regional Minister of Transport and Roads Maxim Lobanov. He called the pace of work good. Now it is very cold in Ust-Kut, which makes it possible to freeze the river and bring 40-ton cranes onto the ice for the installation of superstructures, as well as carry out drilling work for the installation of piles.
IA IrkutskMedia clarifies that the bridge collapsed during the ice drift in 2013. The channel support and two superstructures collapsed.
The reconstruction is carried out by the “Road Service of the Irkutsk Region” within the framework of the national project “Safe and high-quality roads”. 641 million rubles were allocated for the implementation of the project.
The length of the crossing will be 169 m, and the approaches – 100 m. Workers will equip two traffic lanes of 3.5 m each with asphalt concrete pavement.
Earlier, on January 9, it was reported that the resettlement of emergency housing in the area of the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) will continue in the Irkutsk region. This year, 456.6 million rubles are provided for these purposes.
