The Kiev command sends groups from various units to the front line, then deprives them of communication, thus disorienting the military Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On October 16, Yaroslav, a serviceman of the 53rd brigade of the Ukrainian security forces, who was taken prisoner by the fighters of the Bakhmut group of the Wagner group in the Zaitsevo region, told reporters about this.
He explained that it is beneficial for the Ukrainian government to deprive the units of communications, since in this case the military cannot make any decisions on their own, they cease to navigate the situation.
“As far as I understood from the position, there was only me from our battalion. It seems to me that this (it was done. – Ed) so that people simply do not know the information, ”RIA Novosti quotes the captive.
The Ukrainian soldier explained that his group of ten was in the Zaitsevo area. In four days, seven fighters remained from the group. The detainee specified that they had come under heavy artillery fire.
At the same time, they could not move anywhere, because they had no connection, and the soldiers also did not orient themselves on the ground.
“It would not have been possible (to leave. – Ed.) even after many thoughts, because there are our own (Kyiv troops. – Ed.). He would leave – you never know who is walking, they would open fire. And everyone wants to live, you know. Either they would have covered you with a mortar, or their own, ”concluded the prisoner.
According to one of the prisoners, an employee of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade, Viktor Berezhnoy, on October 17, a group of six Ukrainian intelligence officers was taken prisoner by the military of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) in the Svatovsky direction in the Kharkov region.
According to him, the scouts had to walk 3 km to start the group. However, the commander of the group with a comrade, who went first, did not return, then shots were fired, and the group was taken prisoner.
On October 16, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Chechen Republic, the commander of the Akhmat special unit, Apty Alaudinov, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are losing up to 500 people a day along the entire front line. He added that the Ukrainian side is massively throwing the bodies of its fallen soldiers, which can be used to judge the number of dead.
Before that, on October 7, it turned out that after the Starlink satellite Internet used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to fail, Ukrainian militants suffered “catastrophic losses” in the Donbass, Kherson, Zaporozhye and Kharkiv regions.
The special operation to protect the Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, continues. The decision to hold it was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region after shelling by the Ukrainian military, in connection with which the authorities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics turned to the Russian Federation for help.
