A criminal case has been initiated in the Bogorodsky urban district of the Moscow region on the fact of injuring three workers as a result of an explosion of a gas-air mixture in a production workshop. Anna Tertichnaya, assistant head of the Main Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Moscow Region, announced this on Friday, May 20.
According to the representative of the department, the emergency services received information that three workers were injured as a result of the cotton of the air-gas mixture in the production premises of one of the private enterprises in Noginsk.
“The victims were hospitalized in a medical facility with injuries of varying severity. On this fact, the investigator of the investigative department for Noginsk of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region initiated a criminal case under Art. 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of labor protection requirements”),” she told the Moscow city news agency.
Tertichnaya added that the causes and circumstances of the incident are being investigated, and the scene is being examined. Investigators seized for study the regulatory documentation on ensuring labor protection at work.
The incident took place in a five-story building on Klimov Street. The supporting structures of the building were not damaged.
