New Delhi. The central government has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court regarding the NEET UG exam. The government has said that it does not want to cancel this NEET UG exam. The government said that until there is evidence that the paper has been leaked across India, it would not be right to cancel the entire exam, because the results have been declared. Cancelling the exam would be cheating millions of promising candidates.
The government, while insisting on not cancelling the NEET UG exam, cited the Supreme Court’s 2021 decision in Sachin Kumar vs DSSB. The government said that a high-level committee has been constituted by the Ministry of Education to improve the NTA and give suggestions to conduct the examinations properly. This committee is headed by former ISRO Chairman Dr. K Radhakrishnan, who will submit the report to the ministry in two months. Investigation is going on continuously to find out the organized gang and mastermind behind the leak of NEET UG paper.

The government has said that the central agency is moving forward on the basis of the leads found in the investigation. Who is behind the NEET UG paper leak will be revealed soon. The government cited the recently implemented Public Examination Act and said that the government has brought a strict law so that strict action can be taken against the culprits in such cases in future.
On behalf of the government, Varun Bhardwaj, Director of Higher Education Department in the Ministry of Education, filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court. The government said that the criminal elements who have violated the confidentiality of the question papers, the government will punish them by taking action with the full force of the law. The government said that lakhs of candidates who have worked hard and given the NEET UG exam and scored good marks.
