A series of incidents are rocking the city. Before one incident was forgotten, another incident came to light. The incident of chain snatching which took place in the LB Nagar Police Station is causing a stir. Grandma (50) of Bairamalguda, LBnagar, was going to the market to bring vegetables.. a thug wearing a black shirt and wearing a helmet came on a two-wheeler.. He saw the chain around Grandma’s neck. He immediately stopped the cart a short distance away and walked away and broke the 2.2 tola gold chain from the old woman’s neck within moments, got back on his bike and fled from there. Grandma tried to catch the snatcher but to no avail. Being an old woman, she could not catch it even before. However, it is noteworthy that the two people who were present at the scene of the incident looked as if they had seen the whole movie. There was nothing else to do or the victim lodged a complaint at the LB Nagar police station. The police have registered a case and are investigating on the basis of CCTV cameras. Chain snatchers are on the rampage in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. It is known that chain snatching was committed at six places in Rachakonda within two hours. Chain snatchers have been rampant targeting people out for a morning walk and women lounging in front of their houses. Chain robberies were committed at six places within an hour while riding a bike. The chain snatchers who started in Uppal ended at Ram Gopal Pate in Secunderabad. Thieves stole a gold chain from the neck of a woman near Uppal Master Chef at half past six in the morning. Later, a woman who went for a morning walk in Kalyanapuri was tied with a rubber cord around her neck. Both the victim women lodged a complaint with the Uppal police. After that, they snatched a five-tula mangalsutra from the neck of a woman named Vimala, who was performing mulga in front of her house in Nagendra Nagar under Nacharam police station. After that, chains were stolen from women’s necks in Rabindranagar in OU, Ramalayam Gundu in Chilakalaguda and Ramgopalpet railway station.
