Bengaluru: Yesterday evening at Mahadevapura in Bengaluru, a function was held to celebrate the Shankaranti festival of Abbot Iswaranandapura Swami. Chief Minister Basavaraj Pomi and others participated as special guests.
Abbot Iswaranandapura Swami speaking in this program said, “Politicians do not find permanent solutions to the problems in the country. Mahadevapura block is affected by severe floods every year. Roads, sewers and canals are in poor condition.
Politicians come here only when there is flood. Not coming here at other times. Politicians do not try to solve the problem permanently. They don’t know what to do. He criticized the government saying that they only make empty promises during the election.
Enraged by this, Chief Minister Basavaraj snatched the mic from the hands of the puppet abbot. Continuing, he said, “I am not a politician who makes empty promises. I am a politician who solves problems permanently. I have allocated funds to solve the problem here.”
As the assembly elections are about to be held in Karnataka, the incident of the chief minister snatching the microphone from the abbot has created a stir.
