The Education, Culture, Youth, Sports and Media Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council, during a meeting held yesterday, headed by Adnan Hamad Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Committee, approved a report on the issue of the General Sports Authority’s policy regarding supporting the sports sector in the country.
The meeting, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council in Dubai, was attended by members of the committee: Nasser Al-Yamahi, the committee’s reporter for this meeting, Afra Al-Alili, Sarah Falaknaz, and Dr. Sheikha Al-Tunaiji, members of the Federal National Council.
The committee discussed the topic within the axes of complementary policies and legislation to support and develop sports, the authority’s initiatives in developing and promoting various sports in the country, empowering national cadres in the sports sector and caring for talented athletes, the authority’s initiatives and programs regarding the development of infrastructure for sports clubs, and the authority’s role in building external partnerships and strengthening Funding financial capabilities of sports federations.
