The contract of the Egyptian Al-Ahly player was terminated due to shaking hands with Al-Shennawi goalkeeper

Al-Ittihad Club of Alexandria, participating in the Egyptian Professional League, ended the loan of Al-Ahly club player Ahmed Sayed Gharib, after shaking hands with Al-Ahly club goalkeeper during the match that brought the two teams together in the league competition.

Ahmed Sayed Gharib said in exclusive statements to El-Ahly.com that the management of Al-Ittihad Club of Alexandria imposed a fine of 10,000 pounds on him for shaking hands with Mohamed Al-Shennawy, Al-Ahly goalkeeper, after the match that brought the two teams together, which the leader of Al-Thaghar lost by three goals without a response.

He added, “The penalty also included my suspension, and it was I who applied to terminate my loan with the club in order to have the opportunity to participate with another team.”

And Ahmed Sayed Gharib concluded his speech: “I received more than one offer from the Premier League teams, and I am currently discussing with the Al-Ahly club management the offers that I received, and the next few hours may witness my transfer to one of the Premier League clubs before the winter transfer window closes.”

The relationship between Al-Ittihad club management and Ahmed Sayed Gharib was strained after the Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad match that was held last December, due to the player shaking hands with Mohamed Al-Shennawy, Al-Ahly goalkeeper, after the match, which Al-Ittihad club lost by three goals.

The Al-Ittihad administration fined Ahmed Sayed Gharib 10,000 pounds, against the background of congratulating Al-Ahly players after winning the match, which caused tension in the player’s relationship with the club’s management, so that his loan with Al-Ittihad was terminated.

Ahmed Sayed Gharib participated in four matches with Al-Ittihad Club of Alexandria, during the current season, with 60 minutes, but he did not succeed in scoring any goals, while he scored a single goal.
