The court arrested four defendants in the case of the head of Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Krasnodar

The Basmanny Court of Moscow ruled to arrest four defendants in a commercial bribery criminal case involving Alexei Rudnev, head of Gazprom Gazoraspredeleniye Krasnodar. This was announced on Wednesday, November 24, at the press service of the court.

“The court granted the investigator’s petition to elect Rudnev, his deputy Alexander Savostyanov, as well as the deputy directors of the company’s branches in the cities of Sochi and Gelendzhik, Oleg Butkevich and Stanislav Bariev,” the press service of the TASS court quotes.

A criminal case on commercial bribery was initiated by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation earlier on Wednesday. The defendants, as noted in the department, in addition to Rudnev, Sevostyanov, Butkevich and Bariev, are also deputy directors of the company’s branches in Sochi, Gelendzhik, Anapa and Krasnodar, Alexei Petrov and Konstantin Lyuty. At the moment, the court is considering petitions to choose a preventive measure against them.

According to the investigation, the members of the criminal group received illegal remuneration from private entrepreneurs “for connecting residential and commercial real estate to gas networks, as well as for agreeing on acts of commissioning gas distribution networks in the Krasnodar Territory” in the total amount of more than 20 million rubles.

On November 23, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, opened a case against the judge of the Moscow Arbitration Court, Elena Kondrat, for mediation in a bribe on an especially large scale. At the same time, it was not specified which amount was being discussed. Such an offense is punishable by up to 12 years in prison.
