The state does not want to pay for fuel in rubles
The Czech Republic purchases most of its energy resources on Western European exchanges.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Josef Sikela, said that the state would refuse to purchase gas from Russia, because it was not going to pay for it in rubles. The categorical nature is due to the fact that the country buys most of its blue fuel on Western European stock exchanges. And only one company uses the service of Russia. By the end of 2022, Prague plans to abandon Russian oil as well. However, this will be possible if the countries of the European Union have reserves of energy raw materials, and plans are implemented with joint purchases.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Josef Sikela, said that the country was not going to pay for Russian gas in rubles, and also expressed its readiness, under certain conditions, to refuse to purchase oil from the Russian Federation by the end of 2022. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
According to him, the Czech Republic still wants to pay for gas in euros, especially since it buys most of it on Western European stock exchanges. “The only Czech company that buys gas directly from the Russian Federation is the energy company ČЕZ, which pays and will continue to pay in euros,” Sikela said.
He added that Prague is ready to support the proposal to stop the purchase of oil from Russia to the countries of the European Union by the end of 2022 if plans for joint purchases of energy raw materials are implemented and the EU has certain reserves.
President Vladimir Putin demanded that payments for Russian gas supplied to European buyers be converted into rubles. Later, a corresponding decree was published, which implies payment for gas in euros to an account with Gazprombank with further conversion into rubles on the domestic market.
