The Egyptian Super Cup will be held again in the Emirates, as Al-Ahly will meet Zamalek, the Egyptian League champion 2021-2022, in the Super Cup match, on May 5th.
The last edition of the Egyptian Super was held at Hazaa Bin Zayed Stadium in the Emirate of Al Ain last October, and ended with Al-Ahly defeating Zamalek 2-0.
The United Arab Emirates hosted the Egyptian Super Cup on 5 previous occasions in general, the first of which was the 2017 edition.
Al-Ahly holds the record for winning the title 12 times, then Zamalek with 4 titles, and one time for each of the Arab Contractors, Haras al-Hodood and Vanguards of the Army.
