South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who fought against apartheid, has died. He was 90. Tutu coined the term rainbow nation when Nelson Mandela became South Africa’s first black president.
Desmond Tutu was awarded the 1984 Nobel Peace Prize for his peaceful struggle against white rule.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the death of Desmond Tutu. This is what he said in a Twitter post;
