The risk of developing cirrhosis of the liver may increase due to New Year’s feasts. This was announced on December 26 by a gastroenterologist-hepatologist Olga Arisheva. According to her, it is after the holidays that the number of patients with this disease significantly increases.
The doctor emphasized that when the first symptoms of the disease appear, it is necessary to immediately contact a specialist, otherwise the recovery process may be delayed.
“If symptoms such as pain, vomiting appear, sometimes it is indomitable or severe diarrhea, or, on the contrary, the absence of stool, the temperature rises, the skin somehow changes, or the eyes turn yellow – usually if relatives see this, then you need to seek medical help “, – said Arisheva on the air of the radio station” Moscow speaking “.
She noted that during the feasts one should “observe moderation.”
“People very often turn to people after the holidays. During the holidays, they walk, relax, do not always understand what is happening or endure. Arisheva recommended not to combine alcohol with fatty and spicy foods.
