Tomorrow, Wednesday, the competitions of the 14th edition of the Dubai Gold Cup for Polo 2023, hosted by the Al Habtoor Polo and Equestrian Club and Resort in Dubai, will start tomorrow, Wednesday, with the participation of 8 teams in a 20-joule handicap, and its activities will continue until next March 4.
The tournament draw divided the 8 teams into two groups. The first included the “Emirates”, “Dubai Wolves Kafu”, “Ghantoot” and “Cleanova”, and the second included the “AM” teams, “Al Habtoor Evza”, “Bangash” and “Mahra”.
The activities of this edition will begin tomorrow with two matches in the second group of the tournament; Where the “Al Habtoor Evza” team, led by Muhammad Al Habtoor, will meet “Bangash Dodson and Horrell” led by Haider Bengash, and the “AM” team, led by Sheikha Alia Al Maktoum, will face the “Mahra and Ajax Investment Group” team, led by Tariq Al Habtoor.
The current edition, which is being held as part of the Dubai Gold Cup series, is receiving great local and regional interest, after the tournament has contributed over the past years to spreading and developing the game and upgrading it at the regional and global levels.
The championship is currently ranked as the second highest championship in the world, on par with the championships of Spain, and after the championships of Britain and the United States in terms of the classification of players «Handicap 20 Joule».
