Elena Grigorieva, deputy dean of the RUDN University Faculty of Economics, said that under certain conditions, Russians are entitled to a number of additional payments to pensions, benefits and recalculation of payments.
In an interview with Lenta.Ru on Friday, January 14, the expert explained that pensioners “can transfer from one pension to another on their own or with the help of specialists, calculating whether it is beneficial for them or not.”
“It is necessary to apply to the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) with a statement and documents on the right to a new pension,” she said.
Grigorieva said that in the Russian Federation there was an opportunity to carry out the technical registration of pensions and pension payments. The FIU verifies and updates the data on citizens eligible for pension benefits every year. An automatic recalculation of payments due to citizens in an unclassified manner is carried out. The pensioners are notified about the changes on the State Services portal.
The economist said that the most common labor pension can be received not only by people who have finished their work, but also by people with disabilities or who have lost their breadwinner due to death. In this case, you should contact the FIU no later than 12 months from the date of the event.
Recalculation of the labor pension upward is possible, provided that no period of service has been taken into account. To do this, you also need to contact the FIU and attach supporting documents to the application.
Grigorieva noted that if a citizen had pension savings, in 2022 women who have reached 55 years old and men 60 years old can receive them, for example, from the program of state co-financing of pensions. The specialist recalled that certain additional payments are received by pensioners who have reached 80 years of age.
She recalled that there is a system of state support for single people of retirement age, which consists not only of social services, but also of the material part. So, these people can, in particular, receive subsidies to pay for housing and communal services. To do this, you need to be registered in the premises, not have a debt on utility bills, and “the share of expenses must exceed the size of the regional standards for the cost of the applicant’s maximum allowable expenses for payment.”
The economist pointed out that each region can set its own monetary payments within the framework of the regional support system, including for pensioners.
“Pensioners also have tax benefits for real estate: apartments, part of an apartment, a house, a land plot, a garage. But again, within the limits of the area norms established by the legislation, ”the specialist explained.
On January 12, at a meeting with members of the government, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed indexing pensions above the inflation rate – by 8.6%. This will affect 30.8 million people.
Elena Bibikova, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, indicated that the law on the indexation of pensions above the inflation rate, presumably, will be adopted by the end of January this year.
After the indexation of pensions above inflation in 2023, the size of the pension will be 20,047 rubles, and in 2024 – 21,150 rubles.
