The head of the retail business block of the Moscow Credit Bank (MCB), Alexei Okhorzin, explained on February 4 which credit cards to get rid of.
In an interview with the Prime agency, he specified that, first of all, you should pay attention to the commission for servicing a credit card, as well as the cost of SMS informing. According to him, in some banks these services can be free of charge subject to certain conditions, while in others you will have to pay up to 3,000 rubles a month.
Okhorzin also advised to take a closer look at the grace periods, or the so-called grace periods.
“If a client uses a credit card with a long grace period, it is also important to pay attention to the conditions that are fixed in the contract. The bank, for example, may require monthly payments or the cost of maintenance is higher than with a short “grace”. Sometimes a long grace period happens only once after the card is activated, and then the standard period is 50 days,” Okhorzin explained.
The expert called for a thorough study of the terms of the contract. Because otherwise you can “hit” a huge percentage after the end of the grace period. Okhorzin also advised when applying for a credit card to ask all the questions of interest to a bank employee. He noted that this would help eliminate the risks of overpayments and make using the card as convenient as possible.
Earlier, on January 17, economist Mikhail Belyaev explained what factors affect credit history and how it can be improved. The specialist explained that for this, Russians can take a loan from a microfinance organization (MFI) and repay it to show that they are reliable borrowers.
